1:1 Osteopathy
Our custom-built clinic is a small and welcoming space where all 1:1 treatments are carried out.
Whatever your injury or issue, we will work with you to provide a course of treatment to help put you back together again. We will always start your treatment with an initial consultation, where we’ll take your medical history and talk through your concerns before agreeing a treatment plan.
Osteopaths treat people not conditions, so we are able to help in many ways when your body’s form of function is affected, however that manifests itself.
We work with private clients direct, and also support medical insurance patients too, although these will need to be arranged with us direct, and cannot currently be booked online.
What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is recognised by the NHS and the standards of osteopathic training and practice are maintained and developed by the General Osteopathic Council, the profession’s statutory regulator established under the Osteopaths Act 1993.
The British Medical Association's guidance for GP's states that doctors can safely refer patients to osteopaths however, you do not need a GP referral to see an osteopath. Osteopathy is an established, recognised system of diagnosis and treatment that focuses on the structural integrity and function of the body. It is recognised by the British Medical Association as a discrete clinical discipline and The National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) recommends spinal manipulation and acupuncture as a treatment for low back pain. It is distinctive in the fact it is holistic and recognises that a lot of the pain and discomfort we feel is derived from changes in the function of the body's structure as well as damage caused by disease.
According to the NHS, Osteopathy is defined as:
“A way of detecting, treating and preventing health problems by moving, stretching and massaging a person's muscles and joints.”
Osteopathy is based on the principle that the wellbeing of an individual depends on their bones, muscles, ligaments and connective tissue functioning smoothly together. Osteopaths use physical manipulation, stretching and massage with the aim of:
increasing the mobility of joints
relieving muscle tension
enhancing the blood supply to tissues
helping the body to heal
In the UK, osteopathy is a health profession regulated by UK law.
All osteopaths in the UK are regulated by the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) and must adhere to strict practice standards issued by the GOsC.

What our clients say…
“I’ve known Anna for a few years as a Mum on the school run, an Osteopath and Pilates Instructor. I was treated by Anna for severe Sciatica which lead to me joining her Pilates class to help my recovery and regain core strength. The class has been amazing! Anna is an excellent teacher who is very caring and teaches with good humour. All moves are well explained with different levels offered depending on your ability / health needs.
I have no hesitation in recommending Anna’s Pilates class.”
“Anna is amazing, she’s been so supportive and has helped me build up my core strength. I’ve gone from having constant back pain, to mastering some of the more complex moves in just a year. I’m so happy with the result.”
“My daughter is nine years old and Anna has helped her with cranial osteopathy, and also after she fell off our pony! My partner suffers with osteoarthritis, and Anna has also helped him to reduce the pain and have more movement in his joints. I couldn’t be more grateful to have met her, she’s now our family osteopath.””
